S.T.A.N.D. & G.S.A. Merger

Hey STANDers! STAND is back in action. As some of you may have heard, we are officially merging with the GSA. You may have noticed the GSA's absence last year at school. This year we're bringing the two clubs together, meeting in the old W.O.R.D. room, 104, meeting every Tuesday morning. This brings up something else. Because of the conflicts of the Fall Play and Cabaret, we're still working on when we will meet on Wednesdays, but for now, we meet Tuesday mornings and every other Wednesday. If you have any questions, comments or problems, then PLEASE don't hesitate to post a question on our Google Discussion Group, or email us at fadaystand@gmail.com.

We hope to see you at meetings to come!

Next Year: Moving Forward.

Hey STANDers! It's been a while since we last posted here. How's your summer been? School is about two months away, and we've been talking in June about next year. In the 2011-2012 year, STAND has decided to open STAND to 6th AND 7th graders. Thanks to our followers, both online and at our school, for helping to shape STAND into this great community of both students and teachers who care about making this school a bully-free zone. We hope to make next year even better. See you then!

"UTARD" Part 2

Hey STANDers! Just wanna say thanks to everyone who helped us show those guys we mean business. Normally, STAND denounces retaliation, but in this case we won't STAND for activity like this. We really appreciate it when people who aren't even in STAND want to help the community by doing things like these. Just about everyone in the school signed: 6th, 7th and 8th grade and teachers too!

"UTARD"

Hello STANDers. Today, we found out that the mini-contracts you all signed months ago that we spelled the word STAND with were rearranged into the word "UTARD". We are all upset by this, and it isn't acceptable.
We will not STAND for it. We'll show those bullies!

STAND is trying out a new idea on the web. We've created a group on Google Groups where we or anyone else can post an idea, feedback or just anything relevant to STAND. Poll #3 Results & Catch-up

Hey STANDers! You've probably been thinking: "Whatever happened to STAND?". Well, we're back! We've been conflicted by our school musical, but now that it's over, we can focus on our work. And now, of course, the results for our poll:

Parent was the most popular answer, with teacher, counselor and friend tied for 2nd.

Poll #2 Results, Reactions and Photos, Oh My!

Hey everyone, the second poll has closed and we have the results! We are pleased to announce that there were no faulty votes and the system worked perfectly! We got a total of 14 votes, pretty impressive! So, without further adieu, the final tallies are:

Pretty cool huh? Anyways, we also have a cool new feature called Reactions on our blog. In each blog post you can check a box describing what you think of it! When someone checks a box, a count on that box goes up! Also, a new poll will be up very soon, so stay tuned!

Today, representatives from the STAND group went into some of the classrooms at our school and gave out small colorful papers for students to sign saying they will STAND up to negativity and disrespect. A lot of people signed, and we took the signed paper and put them on windows spelling out "STAND!". Thanks to all who chose to support us! Pictures to come.
